Your website has two kinds of pages you can create:
  • Standalone pages are full pages where you control the header, the main content, and the footer. All public pages are standalone pages.
  • Member pages are simpler pages inside the members area, such as the Resources page. You edit their text; the members-area header and footer stay the same. Only logged-in members with an active membership can view them.
Event pages are made in the event editor, not here. See Events.

Seeing all your pages

In the admin menu, go to Design & Web › Web Pages. Each page is listed with its title, its URL, and a Published or Draft badge. You can also find pages from Edit Mode: press Search Website to open the Website Pages list and search it.

Creating a page

You can create a page from the admin area or from Edit Mode.

From the admin area

1

Open Web Pages

In the admin menu, go to Design & Web › Web Pages and press Add page.
2

Choose the page area

Under Page area, choose Member page for a simple page in the members area, or Standalone page for a full public page with its own header and footer.
3

Enter a title and URL

Enter a Title and a URL. A member page’s URL must start with /members/pages/, for example /members/pages/bylaws.
4

Create the page

Press Create page, then Go to page. To start editing it, press Edit Mode.

From Edit Mode

To create a public page while you’re editing a public page:
  1. Press New Page in the bar at the top of the page.
  2. Enter a Page Path, such as /about-us or /summer-picnic. It must start with /, can contain only letters, numbers, hyphens, underscores, and slashes, and can’t start with /members or /events.
  3. Press Create Page, then Go to Page to Edit.
To create a member page:
  1. Press Search Website.
  2. Press Add Member Page, and enter a URL that starts with /members/pages/.
A new page isn’t added to any menu. To let visitors find it, add a link to it in one of your navigation menus.

What a new public page contains

A new public page starts with a Header with Hero at the top, a Main Section with a sample Posts list, and your site’s shared footer. Replace or remove the sample content to build your page.
The footer is shared by all your public pages. Editing it on one page changes it on every page.

Editing a page’s details

To change a public page’s title or URL:
  1. Open the page and turn on Edit Mode.
  2. Press Page Details in the bar at the top of the page.
  3. Edit the fields, then press Save Changes.
A member page has a Title, which appears in the browser tab but not on the page, and a URI path. Preset member pages, such as Resources, can’t change their URI path.

Cloning a page

Cloning makes a copy of a page and everything on it at a new URL. It’s a quick way to start a new page that looks like an existing one.
  1. Open the page’s menu (⋯) and choose Clone page. The menu is on the page’s card in Web Pages, or in the bar at the top of the page in Edit Mode.
  2. Change the Title and URL. They start as the original’s, with “(Copy)” and “-copy” added.
  3. Press Clone page.
The copy has the same content as the original, including any draft elements. Changes to the copy don’t affect the original.
  • A contact form on the page is copied too, but the copy works on its own.
  • The shared footer stays shared between the two pages.
  • A copy of a member page stays in the members area.

Deleting a page

  1. Open the page’s menu (⋯) and choose Delete page.
  2. Press Delete to confirm.
Everything on the page is deleted with it. This can’t be undone. The home page (/), Join page (/join), public events page (/events/public), and Resources page (/members/pages/resources) can’t be deleted.
Deleting a page doesn’t remove links to it from your menus. Remove those links yourself, or visitors who click them will land on a missing page. See Navigation Menus.

Members Home

The Members Home page is what members see when they log in. Below the member notices, it shows a list of posts that you can edit, reorder, add to, and remove. Turn on Edit Mode on the Members Home page and click a post to edit it. See Posts.

Who can see member pages

When someone who isn’t logged in opens a member page, they’re asked to log in. If they close the login window, the page says Login Required. A member whose membership has expired sees Expired Membership, with a link to the dues page.
